I visited the “FMR.Itd Production Works Exhibition: Yayoi Kusama Prints and Sculptures” at the Institut français du Kansai.
The Institut français du Kansai is the Kyoto branch of the Institut Français, a French cultural center managed and operated by the French government.
The Institut français du Kansai was designed by Raymond Mestrallet and completed in 1936, it is a modern building of great historical value.
This exhibition at The Institut français du Kansai was the venue for an exhibition introducing the prints and sculptures of world-renowned artist Yayoi Kusama.
The exhibition featured a selection of prints, vases, and sculptures reflecting the artist’s work from 2011-2012.
All of the works on display were part of Yayoi Kusama’s body of work, which has been produced by FMR TRADING LTD, a company that has worked with modern and contemporary artists, primarily from Japan and France, to produce a wide range of works in the mediums of printmaking, sculpture, jewelry, and ceramics.
