Golden Week in Japan – What It Is and How It Affects Our Store Operations

green leafs

If you’re a fan of Japanese culture, you may have heard of Golden Week—a unique and exciting holiday season in Japan. But what exactly is it?
Golden Week is a collection of national holidays that fall closely together from late April to early May. It’s one of the longest holiday periods for many Japanese people, and it’s common for families to travel, relax, or spend time with loved ones. The key holidays include Showa Day (April 29), Constitution Memorial Day (May 3), Greenery Day (May 4), and Children’s Day (May 5). When these holidays align with weekends, many businesses in Japan take an extended break.

Will Our Online Store Be Affected?

While Golden Week is a major holiday in Japan, our online store remains open 24/7 as usual. You are more than welcome to place orders at any time during this period.

However, our backend operations—such as order processing, customer support, and shipping—will be temporarily closed on the following dates(All times are Japan Standard Time):

  • April 27 (Sunday) – April 29 (Tuesday)
  • May 3 (Saturday) – May 6 (Tuesday)

Please expect potential delays in the processing of your orders and responses to inquiries submitted during these times. Our team will resume normal operations promptly after the holidays and work diligently to catch up on any pending tasks.

We appreciate your understanding and patience during this traditional Japanese holiday.
If you have any urgent questions or requests, we recommend contacting us before the holiday dates listed above.
